A simple guide to help you order the perfect wallpaper

How to measure a wall correctly?

We want to make ordering wallpaper simple and stress-free for you. That's why we've prepared a short, step-by-step guide that shows you how to measure your wall before placing your order. Whether you have a classic wall, sloped ceilings, or recesses, our tips will help you plan everything well and enjoy a perfectly matched wallpaper to your interior.

WHY DOES ACCURATE WALL MEASUREMENT MATTER?

Accurate wall measurement is the foundation of a successful wallpaper order. This allows us to perfectly match the print size to your space, avoiding unsightly pattern shifts or unnecessary material waste. Precise measurements allow us to create custom-made wallpaper in ready-made panels that fit the wall perfectly, even if it's not perfectly even.

#1

Measure each wall separately, taking into account any obstacles.

Carefully measure the width and height of each wall you want to wallpaper. Add 2.5cm/1in to the total measurement on each side (+5cm total) to ensure full edge coverage and to compensate for any wall irregularities or minor measurement errors.

If there are windows, doors, recesses or other fixed elements on the wall, measure their height, width and distance from the floor and the edge of the wall.

You don't need to subtract them from the wall dimensions—just mark them on the sketch. This will help us plan the pattern correctly.

#2

Slopes and walls near the stairs

In the case of walls with slopes (e.g. in the attic) or inclined surfaces near stairs, enter the maximum width and maximum height of the wall.

The wallpaper will be prepared as a rectangle that you will adjust during installation.

#3

Non-standard surfaces? No problem.

If you need to seal a surface with an unusual shape – e.g. arches, columns – mark them on the sketch and provide the exact dimensions.

The more details, the better the wallpaper fit.
