How to measure your wall

Worth knowing:
REMEMBER the wall must be:
  1. Free of defects
  2. Degreased
  3. Primered
  4. Dry
  5. Free of dust and dirt
  6. For walls in a wet zone, the wall should be covered with waterproofing.
01. Wallpaper is prepared with a 5cm / 2in allowance

If your wallpaper has been prepared to a non-standard size, we have increased it by 2.5cm / 1in on each side to ensure full coverage of each wall edge and avoid any differences caused by wall unevenness or measurement error.

02. Check the type of material and wallpaper seams

Before applying the wallpaper, check the material for compliance with your order, as well as the seams and color. If the wallpaper has manufacturing defects, file a complaint before starting the installation. Wallpaper with manufacturing defects is not a subject to complaint after installation.

03. Butt-Joint Seams

We prepare all our wallpapers with butt-joint seams (EDGE to EDGE) to make installation simple and achieve a perfect, seamless look.

04. Cleaning Wallpaper

Wallpapers not protected by the WET system should be wiped with a damp cloth, never scrubbed, and not cleaned with aggressive detergents. After applying the WET system, the wallpaper becomes resistant to more intensive cleaning.

05. Joining Multiple Walls

The wallpaper is not tailored to individual walls, and is typically divided into equal panels. The excess on the left side is 2.5cm / 1in, and the excess on the right side is no less than 2.5cm / 1in, determined individually.

HOW TO APPLY WALLPAPER PROWALL / WALLSTICK

Before you begin installation, make sure the wall is properly prepared — smooth, clean, dry, and primed. The color should be even, and any fresh plaster or paint must dry for at least 3 weeks.
Below you’ll find installation instructions for two types of wallpaper: PROWALL (non-woven wallpaper for adhesive) and WALLSTICK (self-adhesive wallpaper).

TOOLS AND SUPPLIES
  1. Primer
  2. Heavy-duty adhesive for non-woven wallpapers
  3. Adhesive mixer
  4. Brush and roller for adhesive
  5. Clean, damp cloth
  6. Wallpaper seam roller
  7. Wallpaper smoother
  8. Pencil
  9. Utility knife
  10. Measuring tape
  11. Level or laser level
01. WALL PREPARATION

The wall must be smooth, dry, clean, and primed with an appropriate primer. The wall color should be uniform without strongly contrasting areas. Remove any remnants of old paint, varnish, and wallpaper. Newly plastered or freshly painted walls should be allowed to dry for about three weeks. Ceramic, latex, and any poorly adhering surfaces should be sanded with sandpaper before priming the wall to achieve an optimal result. Fill in any holes or imperfections. Remember to remove all sockets, baseboards, and other elements from the wall. Improperly prepared walls may hinder the proper installation of wallpaper.

02. Checking the wallpaper

Unroll the wallpaper on a clean surface and check if you have received all the rolls and if the pattern matches your order. Make sure that each piece is free of manufacturing defects such as deformations, discolorations, or dimensional differences greater than 1%. All elements should be evenly saturated, and the pattern should match seamlessly. If the wallpaper has manufacturing defects, file a complaint before applying the wallpaper. Each roll is numbered from left to right on the back for easy installation.

NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT FACTORY DEFECTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE WALLPAPER IS INSTALLED!

03. Planning the wallpaper on the wall

To accurately install the wallpaper, measure and draw a vertical line on the wall or mark the line using a laser level. The line marked on the wall should correspond to the width of the first roll of your wallpaper. Remember that the wallpaper has an allowance of 2.5cm / 1in on each side, and wallpapering always starts from the left side, so the line determining the width of the first roll should be shifted to the left by 2.5cm / 1in.

04. Applying glue to the wall

Apply glue only to the wall. Use ready-made adhesive for heavy non-woven wallpapers for installation. Apply an even, thin layer of glue to the wall using a paint roller or brush. The glue should be applied only to the area of the current strip, extending about 5 cm / 2 inches beyond the edge of the strip, without covering the entire wall with glue at once.

05. Wallpaper installation

PROWALL (paste-the-wall wallpaper):

Unroll the wallpaper from bottom to top and press it onto the wall using a squeegee or roller, smoothing out air bubbles. Install each following panel edge to edge, carefully aligning the pattern. After applying, press the edges with a rubber roller. If any glue gets on the wallpaper during installation, wipe it off immediately with a damp, soft cloth without rubbing.

WALLSTICK (self-adhesive wallpaper):

Gradually separate the backing from the adhesive side while unrolling the wallpaper from top to bottom. Press it onto the wall with a squeegee, removing any trapped air. Apply each following panel edge to edge, aligning the pattern.

Any excess wallpaper (overlap) should be trimmed after installation using a snap-off utility knife, pressing down the edge to avoid tearing.
