Learn how to properly measure your wall, prepare the surface, and install the wallpaper to achieve a flawless result. Our guide will walk you through the entire process — clearly, simply, and without unnecessary complications. Just a few steps and you’ll be enjoying beautiful wallpaper in your space.
The wall must be smooth, dry, clean, and primed with the appropriate primer. The wall color should be uniform, without strongly contrasting areas. Freshly plastered or newly painted walls should be left to dry for about three weeks. Ceramic paints, latex paints, and any poorly adhesive surfaces should be sanded with sandpaper before priming. To achieve the perfect effect, eliminate all defects. An improperly prepared wall can prevent the correct installation of the DOTS.
Unroll the DOTS on a clean surface and check if the received product matches the order. Make sure the DOTS is free from manufacturing defects, such as deformations and discolorations. If the DOTS has manufacturing defects, file a complaint before application. After installing the DOTS, there are no possibilities to claim manufacturing defects!
To accurately mount the DOTS at its adhesive site, measure and mark lines using a laser level. The lines marked on the wall will serve to correctly center the pattern. Always start applying the DOTS from the top.
Starting from the top, peel off about 10cm of the backing from the adhesive layer of the DOTS. Fold back the backing, then align the DOTS on the wall so that the lines from the level match the markers on the print and stick part of the DOTS to the wall. Apply the DOTS from top to bottom, while separating its backing from the adhesive layer. Press the wallpaper using a squeegee to remove excess air. Regardless of the chosen equipment, installation should be done carefully to avoid damaging the material.
